Beer production
In 2019, beer production reached its peak in Czechia with over 21.6 million hectoliters produced that year. However, the following two years saw a sharp decline with production dropping to 19.6 million hectoliters in 2021. Of this, approximately 5.2 million hectoliters were exported, with 75 percent arriving in other European Union nations. The country produces various styles of beer, but it is most famous for Pilsner, which originates from the city of PlzeĆ.
